2007 rust...

Hi guys I have a 2007 Jetta in shadow blue, thing is when waxing it on the weekend I noticed the seem down the edge on the bonnet (inner edge) is rusting like hell, the car has been in the family since brand new, never accident damaged however I had it re sprayed atthe bonnet to tidy up a fw stone chips as I am a perfectionist!!! i have since been back to VW cos of the rust and they have tried telling me cos i have had it resprayed bonnett, its invalidated my waranty!!!! i can understand where they are coming from however surely a 2007 car of this type should not be rusting so badly? it appeaers there is a seem on the edge of the bonner were it wraps around the the edge, this appeas to have broken down and is rusting like mad!!! VW are listening to my appeal re this just wondered if anyone else has experienced similar issue,. ( car bonnet re spray was not done by VW - but a specialist body shop that specialises in Aston Martins, and BMW porche, no no back street garage!!!
